SUCCESS KEY #13 - BE JUST AND GENEROUS

We live in a time when devotion to God and the things of God are becoming more and more difficult due to the increasing negative pressures coming from all sides. From economic pressures, peer pressures, family pressures, societal pressures, occupational pressures and even environmental pressures not to talk about the media and the internet.

Local and global politicking is only tending towards calling good evil and calling evil good; almost everything that used to be unheard off in the past and an abomination is being justified and practiced openly by the day. You wake up every other day to listen to one leader or the other telling you that what you used to know as evil is now good and vice versa, and you keep wandering what civilization is all about.

The phrase “just man” occurs only 10 times in the Bible. Noah is the first person in the Bible described as a just man (Genesis 6:9). In the books of Proverbs and Ecclesiastes the phrase “just man” is used on five occasions to describe a person who is faithful to God, with a strong devotional life and who is a good parent.

  1. Proverbs 21:15 - When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. Now when you watch as the wicked is being allowed to go free by what is supposed to be legal technicalities, it is heartbreaking, but the counsel of God, that shall stand. You must understand that there is a divine system that is above the system of this world.
  • Ecclesiastes 3:17 - I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” It does not matter how many times the system of this world lets the wicked go free, there will come a time that the same will stand in judgement before God for all his evil deeds. That the judges of this world system let the wicked walk free in exchange for money and being members of same satanic fraternities does not mean that the same evil deed will not be punished by God in this life and the hereafter, only a matter of time.
  • Hebrews 10:30 - For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” As one seeking to follow the path of divine justice, you might find yourself suffering many injustices in the hands of evil men. You do not have to fret yourself even when you watch them prospering in their way, God will certainly establish judgement upon the earth, and men will fear Him.
  • Job 12:22 - He reveals deep things out of darkness and brings to light the shadow of death.
  • Hosea 12:6 - But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always”. God may tarry, but God has never come late.
  • Matthew 5:38-39 - “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also”. This does not make you a fool, but there is always one who is appointed to take revenge on your behalf. You do not know everything, the good that will turn to evil or the evil that will turn to your good tomorrow, so allow the one that knows all things to respond on your behalf while you engage on the altar of prayer.
  • Proverbs 24:24-25 - Whoever says to the guilty, “You are innocent,” will be cursed by peoples and denounced by nations. But it will go well with those who convict the guilty, and rich blessing will come on them”. When you have the opportunity, give to every one as it is their due and you will always be accepted by God.
  • Proverbs 28:5 - Evildoers do not understand what is right, but those who seek the Lord understand it fully.

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act. Do not say to your neighbor, “Come back tomorrow and I’ll give it to you”— when you already have it with you.  Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. Do not accuse anyone for no reason— when they have done you no harm. Do not envy the violent or choose any of their ways.

For the Lord detests the perverse but takes the upright into his confidence. The Lord’s curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous. He mocks proud mockers but shows favor to the humble and oppressed. The wise inherit honor, but fools get only shame." Proverbs 3:27-35. KJV.

Remember, on the day you were created, you were blessed; and in Christ Jesus, you are beyond every curse. Those that bless you are blessed, and whoever tries to curse you is already cursed.
